dc.description.abstract | Multi-transmitter wireless power transfer (WPT) systems are commonly used in desk object charging to reduce misalignment and increase the coupling coefficient. This project introduces a new WPT system with a unique coil array and inverter topology, which can save the switch numbers by using 3n switches to control n2 transmitter coils. Meanwhile, an automatic detection and control method is proposed to monitor the load position and inactivate coil, which is based on LCC compensation network circuit. Simulation has been carried out to validate the feasibility of topology. Also, the experimental prototype of 2*2 coil array and 3*3 coil array is developed to cater for different charging requirements. In addition, a 2*2 coil array system with a control system is provided. The results show that it can charge devices in different types. Here are some advantages of the proposed system. First, it has great expansibility as users can use 2*2 or 3*3 depending on the requirements. Second, it saves electronic components. Third, the system can charge different types of devices, including phones, earphones and toothbrush. Fourth, there is low overheating issue. Last, the control algorithm is simple and is easy to function at multi-coil systems. | en_US |
