Abstract: | A blockchain is a decentralised and distributed digital ledger which is used to record transactions between two entities. It can record transactions in a verifiable manner efficiently. Data is also permanently stored on a blockchain. Nowadays, many people are concerned about data privacy and security, especially the data in the healthcare system. In this project, a secure medical record management system that is privacy- and security-oriented will be built using blockchain and peer-to-peer technologies. The system will be built on the Ethereum-based blockchain with smart contract functionality. The InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) will also be used to store and share data in the system. A native Android application will be developed and serve as the front-end of the system. |
