Kowloon City Themed Walking Trail was a community project involving students enrolled in CAH3511 Hong Kong's Culture and Heritage. It was a collaboration between the PI and the Hong Kong Anglican Church (Sheng Kung Hui) Welfare Council. The aims of the project were to design and launch public engagement activities to enhance the public's interest and knowledge of the history of Hong Kong. Students attended training workshops and field trips led by the PI and professionals of the Sheng Kung Wui project team to familiarize themselves with different aspects of local history, from industrial development, religious beliefs and practices, entertainment, and local customs. During Semester B (2019), student teams developed thematic guided tours in the Hunghom District section of the Walking Trail (a URA-funded project). Selected project teams were invited to participate in a summer internship programme to further actualize their plans. Two student-led guided tours were launched in the summer of 2019.en_US
