Correct application of injections and blood sampling are part of the "day one competencies" required in veterinary medicine according to veterinary accreditation bodies. This project allowed the development of a pig blood sampling model, teaching materials to accompany the model. Additional ovine (sheep) dental models were created to train students to age sheep by dentition. These models are being integrated into clinical rotations (year 5 BVM), production animal courses (years 3 and 4 BVM). Student feedback has been positive. Further feedback will be collected with further use.en_US
