Abstract: | Through funding received, the research team developed a virtual reality training system consisting of a human-computer interaction interface and training software for operating tower crane robots within the context of Modular Integrated Construction (MiC). This system was utilized in relevant courses at CityU, benefiting approximately 100 students who were able to learn basic human-robot interaction skills and concepts through hands-on virtual reality experience using the developed software. Additionally, the project yielded an academic journal publication and conference paper. Going forward, the team is committed to ongoing refinement and advancement of the system to address Hong Kong's evolving needs in MiC scientific research and applications, as well as exploration of next-generation teleoperation technologies to provide additional support. |
