Abstract: | The PI was granted this project to revise BME3104 so that it prepare students to thrive in the paradigm of modern healthcare, especially after the pandemic. Throughout the implementation of this project, the complete course portfolio has been redesigned and, particularly, a hands-on tutorial session using a teleoperated robotic arm to wireless actuate a small-scale robot in a stomach phantom has been developed. In addition, a library of project topics have been developed for students to brainstorm, investigate, and iteratre their own robotic solutions to address real-world challenges in modern healthcare. Overall, the project has been successfully implemented. The revamped course has been delivered once and students’ feedback is very positive. |
