Abstract: | Covid-19 has brought substantial changes to the kinds of skills that university students will need to succeed in their future careers in today’s digital world. Students not only need to master a range of digital technology skills but also need to competently integrate these technology skills with other essential skills, including language skills, collaborative skills, and critical and analytical thinking skills, for the successful completion of a range of tasks in the workplace. Thus, it would be important for students to be trained to apply their different skills to practical use in integrated and meaningful ways in their undergraduate education. Given the advantages associated with an integrated-skills approach to teaching, learning and assessment, this TDG project seeks to develop and implement an innovative digital sociolinguistic research project as part of an undergraduate course to enhance students’ integrated skills, including but not limited to digital literacy skills. This TDG project has two objectives: (1) to enhance students’ integrated skills through a digital research project; and (2) to showcase students’ discoveries to the wider community through an online platform. |
