Abstract: | This paper examines the reasons to support same-sex and transsexual marriage in Hong Kong. Three grounds, namely, the correct interpretation of "male" and "female", the right to privacy and the right to marry are discussed. The judgment of W v Registrar of Marriages means a temporary constrain on same-sex and transsexual marriage. Thus, the prospect of civil partnership is examined. |
