Abstract: | In the words of Mr. Wong, head chef at Sun Wah Kee restaurant, "food in Hong Kong is defined colour, aroma and taste". This short documentary offers a glimpse behind the doors of a classic Hong Kong 'cha chaan teng' (teahouse), and explores the various threads that make up this vibrant establishment. Yet while the restaurant thrives with a loyal customer base and a supremely talented head chef, its future is uncertain in a modern and cosmopolitan Hong Kong that destroys, builds and modernises on a daily basis. |
