This paper documents and discusses properties of business strategy decisions under pollution conditions. All empirical work is based on the theory developed by Copeland (1994), formally called "Pollution Paradise". In fixed-effect panel data regression model, we set "Number of Employees" which indicates corporate decision-making behaviors, as the explained variables and set "Polluted Air", which all can be treated as measure of pollution, to be the explainable covariates. The results illustrate that on the average level: Firstly, after overcoming the multi-collinearity problem, effects of air pollution on the number of enterprise employees scale strategy have become no significant; Secondly, for foreign-owned enterprises, the influence of environmental regulation on the decision scale strategy have a significant "U" effect. However, for state-owned enterprises, the effect of environmental regulation on the decision scale strategy have a significant "EKC" effect. |
