Abstract: | This animation is adapted from Bartók-Balázs's "Bluebeard’s Castle", which is a Hungarian one-act opera. The play contains some symbols and metaphors to conceal the meaning and the theme. After interpreting and analyzing the original, I adapt the story into a Japanese ghost story. This animation is my graduation project. The purposes of this project are including 1) interpreting the symbol in Bartók-Balázs's version, 2) adapting a new story based on it, and 3) disguising the story as a Japanese tale. |
